San Jose parking FREE in downtown lots



The Downtown San Jose Parking Validation program offers patrons up to two hours of free parking at designated lots and garages when visiting a participating retailer or restaurant. Look for the (PV) symbol on signs outside of participating garages when you visit Downtown San Jose. Also look for a (PV symbol) sign in the windows of retailers who offer parking validations. Nearly all Downtown retail merchants and restaurants participate in the Parking Validation program, unless they have their own parking facilities.





Free Parking program

Take advantage of free parking weekdays after 6 p.m. and all day weekends and major holidays in seven public parking lots and garages in downtown San Jose. Enjoy the wide variety of downtown dining, performing arts, museums, sporting events, nightlife and shopping without the expense of parking. The free parking facilities are numbered on the following parking map:

    1. Market & San Pedro Square Garage
      (between Santa Clara and St. John streets)
    2. Third Street Garage
      between Santa Clara and St. John Streets
    3. San Fernando & Third Street Lot (Block 3)
      (between Second and Third streets, north of the Repertory Theatre)
    4. San Fenando & Second Street Lot (Block 2)
      (on San Fernando Street, between First and Second streets, across from Gordon Biersch Restaurant)
    5. Pavilion Garage
      (on Second Street, between San Fernando and San Carlos Streets)
    6. Second & San Carlos Street Garage
      (on Second and Third streets at San Carlos, next to Camera 3 Cinemas)
    7. Fourth and San Fernando Street Garage
